A fairly new hobby of mine is collecting autographs. And as one of the great pleasures of a collector is to show his treasures, here is what I got so far (click on a picture if you want to see it bigger):

It all began with a signed photo of Alyssa Milano I bought in an autograph shop (I always got a lot of catalogs). Alyssa is my goddess, so I coudn't resist when I saw this beautiful picture (measuring 8x10 inches):

Alyssa Milano aka Phoebe Halliwell from "Charmed"

FedCon 21

2012 was my first time at the  FedCon 21 in Düsseldorf.

Not really knowing the way such a con works, I limited myself to get the autographs of the "big ones":

William Shatner aka Captain James T. Kirk from

"Star Trek - The Original Series"

Unfortunately Mr. Shatner didn't personalize the autograph, but considering his age and the great number of people which wanted an autograph, it is perspicuous.

Richard Dean Anderson aka Col. Jack O'Neill from "Stargate SG-1"

RDA was a very nice guy, he took the time to chatt a bit with everyone. He was curious about my nickname and told me, that at High School he was also called „Ducky", but not because he was such a big fan of Donald Duck, but because he had such a waddling gait.

Trek-Gate to your Star 2012

Meanwhile I became quite good working with Gimp and so I decided to create my own autograph designs.

I started to do so for the Trek-Gate to your star 2012. However, for some reasons I'm no longer satisfied with these pictures and the solver pens most of the stars used to sign them do not really stay at the pictures ... so I hope to get these autographs a second time

Movie Days 2013

The pictures I made for Movie Days 2013 in Dortmund were much better and I got the following fine autographs (all my Pictures are printed in Din A4, which is about 8.27 x 11.69 inches):

John Schneider aka Bo Dukes from "The Dukes of Hazzard"

A really nice guy, very natural. Always in the mood for fun. And still able to slither through the General Lee's side windows

Robert Englund aka Freddy Krueger from the

"Nightmare on Elm Street"-Movies and Willie from "V"

He was over the moon I also used some pictures from "V"

Dave Prowse aka Darth Vader from "Star Wars"

He's now a nice, elderly man. He was a little puzzled, 'cause he couldn't remember the picture from the movies - and really thrilled when he learned I created it myself.

Jeremy Bulloch aka Boba Fett from "Star Wars"

Sooo sweet. A modest, elderly gentleman, who was there with his wife. He even remembered seeing me waiting outside, because when he arrived, he remarked to his wife, that I would probably freeze (no wonder, after I stood one and a half hour in a freezing wind patiently waiting). He asked me if I was feeling better now. He was also very interested in my picture and wanted to know if it was difficult to build.

HobbitCon 2013

Easter 2013 I spent at the HobbitCon in Bonn

Not, that I am a fan of the movie, but simply because of the presence of Sylvester McCoy I had to go. I am a Whovian and the Seventh Doctor was reason enough for me to spent quite a lot time and money to meet him personally and get his autograph. In the end I got two autographs, the second on the picture from the photoshoot (he was actually quite excited about my t-shirt, and seeing it he shouted „Hey, I know that guy - that's me!".)

Sylvester McCoy aka The Seventh Doctor from "Doctor Who"

Sylvester McCoy and me

FedCon 22

From May 9th to May 12th 2013 I was at FedCon 22 in Düsseldorf. And this time I got what I could, being the proud owner of a Gold Ticket, which includes one autograph of every guest. I can tell you, it was quite hard work to get my autograph pictures ready in time, 'cause I had started quite late.

Me with Robert O'Reilley and J.G. Hertzler aka Gowron and Martok

from "Star Trek – The Next Generation" and "Star Trek – Deep Space Nine"

The picture is from the 2012 photoshoot, I just refined it a bit and printed it in Din A4. And I was lucky that make-up artist Stewart Lucas, who worked his magic to transform them into Klingons, also signed due to a lucky accident. I forgot to take this picture with me on Saturday and then decided to ask someone, whom I believed to be a FedCon Helper, if Mr. Hertzler and Mr. O'Reilley would sign the next day, too. However, the alleged helper turned out to be Stewart Lucas and we chatted a bit. On Sunday he wasn't there when I took my "Klingon autographs" and I asked a helper - a real helper this time - if he had come yet. The answer was "no" and I was a bit disappointed. However, when I looked in the room an hour or so later, I saw him. He remembered talking to me the day before and felt honored that I wanted his autograph. He had to borrow a pencil from Robert O'Reilley, but finally I got my third autograph on that picture.

Linda Park aka Ensign Hoshi Sato from "Star Trek: Enterprise"

Linda Park is a rather shy and therefore reserved person. However, it was rather sweet to see her mother proudly taking photos of her daughter giving autographs.

Anthony Montgomery aka Ensign Travis Mayweather from "Star Trek: Enterprise"

I can tell you, Anthony Montgomery is anything but shy and reserved.

Colin Ferguson aka Sheriff Jack Carter from "EUReKA"

Colin Ferguson is in real life quite the same as you may know him as Sheriff Jack Carter from EUReKA. You want an example? Before he handed me back the signed picture ("This is well put together!"), he inspected the point between metal and energy vortex, as checking if he could feel something there, with the typical puzzled expression Sheriff Jack Carter would have in the TV show.

Matt Frewer aka Dr. Jim Taggart from "EUReKA"

Matt Frewer was one of those, who showed interest in the origins of my nickname - and after I explained it to him he said goodbye with an imitation of Donald Duck's voice.

Ben Browder aka John Crichton from "Farscape"

Ben Browder had already proven to be a real mood cannon! He asked how I was doing, looked at the autograph templates and stepped lively to act.

Claudia Black aka Aeryn Sun from "Farscape“

Claudia Black asked what color she should use to sign and I answered "Black please! I'm a great Black fan!" - and I can tell you, she liked the joke!

Gigi Edgley aka Chiana from "Farscape"

Gigi Edgley (sigh) asked if she could fill the entire white space with a dedication (yes, of course - that's what it's meant for!) and whished me a "great weekend".

Ben Browder and Claudia Black did not just star in „Farscape", but also in „Stargate - SG1", so …

Ben Browder aka Colonel Cameron Mitchell from "Stargate SG–1"

Claudia Black aka Vala Mal Doran from "Stargate SG–1"

John Barrowman aka Captain Jack Harkness from "Doctor Who" and "Torchwood"

John Barrowman even remembered seeing me (we'd already met two times that Saturday before the autograph session started, first at a Meet&Greet, the second time at a photoshoot). I still think it's remarkable, because he got to meet a huge bunch of people that day.

I hope, David Tennant will sign the first picture, too.

Eve Myles aka Gwen Cooper from "Torchwood"

Eve Myles found it "so sweet" that I got an autograph (same design) for a friend as a birthday present (She embellished this, as well as JB, with a birthday greeting. And this friend of mine, she was very pleased about her present).

Casper van Dien aka Johnny Rico from "Starship Troopers"

Casper van Dien, Mr. "Kill 'em all!". The dedication is a gag, an allusion to the movie quote "Come on you apes. You want to live forever?"

Dina Meyer aka Dizzy Florez from "Starship Troopers"

Dina Meyer (sigh) - I know, you shouldn't tell a womans age, but in her case it's a compliment. It seems impossible - her being 44 already (in 2013) - as she doesn't look a day older than 30! The photo on the left was taken at a Con in the US in 2012 and she was amused and fascinated how the lights and shadows worked together to make her laughter lines look so distinctive - therefore the "fitting" dedication.

Patrick Muldoon aka Zander Barcalow from "Starship Troopers"

Patrick Muldoon, another one who wanted to know why I'm called "Ducky".

Robert Beltran aka Commander Chakotay from "Star Trek – Vovager"

Robert Beltran. He liked the picture and wanted to know if I made it myself.

Ethan Phillips aka Neelix from "Star Trek – Voyager"

Ethan Phillips was amused about Neelix's pose. The day before we happened to walk together from hotel to the supermarket and talked about how it was possible that everybody at the con is so good in speaking English, that really fascinated him.

Garrett Wang aka Ensign Harry Kim from "Star Trek – Voyager"

Garrett Wang, also interested in the origins of my nickname. He then told me that his father seemed to have a special talent in chosing his kids names. He gave as example his brother whose chinese name means "great warrior" and who became a general at a very young age and another example which I forgot (sorry). Then he explained that his own chinese name means "loved by millions"...

Mark Allen Shepherd aka Morn from "Star Trek – Deep Space Nine"

Mark Allen Shepherd made every effort to get it right for everyone. He began by asking where he should sign my picture, then if I would like a personal dedication - and then he asked if I would like "See you at Quark's" right before he wrote it!

Andrea Thompson aka Talia Winters from "Babylon 5"

Andrea Thompson first asked how I was doing. Well, I told her the truth and said, that I was a little tired (I spent about tree and a half hours standing in line for autographs and it was the third day of the Con) - whereupon she apologized that I had to stand in line for her autograph so long!

James Doohan aka Montgomery 'Scotty' Scott from "Star Trek - The Original Series"

I bought this autographed picture at the space-store.  It was signed during a FedCon. I paid  a lot for it, but it is worth it!

Trek-Gate to your Star 2013

September 21st an September 22nd 2013 I was at the Trek-Gate to your star 2013. It is my favorite convention and I was able to add 7 new autographs to my small collection:

Amanda Tapping aka Major Samantha Carter from "Stargate SG-1"

Amanda Tapping aka Dr. Helen Magnus from "Sanctuary"

She remembered me from the meet&greet. She wanted to sign with a silver pen, but when I told her about what happened with my Michael Shanks autograph she signed with a black one and told me to take care.

Robin Dunne aka Dr. Will Zimmerman from "Sanctuary"

At the beginning of the autograph session he took the time to chat a bit with everyone. And I don't think that was a problem for the ones waiting,
cause the qeue wasn't really long, I think about 20 or 30 people. However, suddenly Julie Caitlin Brown - his manager - appeared and told him to hurry up. He followed her instructions (who would not, she is a really impressive person) and so it was more like a photo-session at FedCon than Trek-Gate. Thank you so much, JCB - in case, you didn't know it, for the fan the personal meeting, the chance to speak a few words with the star is most important. I mean, I could also buy an autograph on the star's website or write him a letter, what would be cheaper ...

Marina Sirtis aka Counselor Deanna Troi from "Star Trek - The Next Generation"

She asked, assuming that Ducky is my nickname, what my real name is and mentined that in NCIS there is character whose nam is Ducky, too. I had to confess, NCIS isn't really my kind of show, but that I will watch it now, 'cause Marina stars in it.

Bill Blair - the "Alien Actor"

He was surprised when he saw the picture and meant, he has never seen this. I explained to him that I had made it and he meant, he must sign this of course with gold ... but you know ... ;)

"Original Bill Blair Collage"

Limited Edition Lithograph

I auctioned this autographed picture in the charity auction for 70 euros ($ 94.50). I could have bought it on Bill's website for $ 29.95 (22.18 euros), but what the heck.

Tim Russ aka Lieutenant Tuvok from "Star Trek - Voyager"

Robert Picardo aka The Doctor from "Star Trek Voyager"

Tony Amendola - Gepetto / Marco from "Once Upon a Time"

I got this autograph at the Weekend of Horrors. Tony Amendola really is a nice and likeable man, I would love to meet him again at one of the conventions I prefer, like FedCon or Trek-Gate to your Star (The Weekend of Horrors was nothing I enjoyed very much). He was very moved by the picture and asked if I made it myself. When I said yes, he showed the picture to Parker Stevenson, who sat next to him. Both of them really liked it and Parker Stevenson asked me if I was an artist. I answered no, I'm just a fan doing some fan art. However, judging me by my work, they insisted that I must be an artist. I became a little embarrassed and told them so, but they insisted, that I did not need to be modest about this, on the contrary I should be proud. And next time if anybody asks me whether I am an artist, I should answer with "yes". I have to say, this really made my day.

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark

(Cassandra Peterson)

I bought this autograph at Elvira's webstore. However, I still hope to meet her personally once.

Adam West - Bruce Wayne / Batman from the 1960s "Batman"-Show

I bought this autographed picture at the Adam West Store.

Movie Days 2014

Julian Glover aka Scaroth / Count Scarlioni / Captain Tancredi

from the Doctor Who episode "City of Death"

When he saw it, he said to his assistant, she (wrongly) told him that no one would know about that in Germany (he did bring two DW-motives himself, just in case, one of "The City of Death", one from "The Crusade"). I explained to him that there is quite a large DW fandom in Germany and we chatted a bit.

Brian Krause aka Leo Wyatt from "Charmed"

He liked the picture very much and also allowed me to take two keepsake pictures (one of Brian, signing, one with him and the autograph).

Patrick Macnee

I ordered it at http://www.patrickmacnee.com/ on February 13, 2014 and it arrived March 27, 2014. I'm glad to have it!

Bettie Page

Bettie Page is one of the women I dream of. She was not just only beautifuls and in this particular way innocent and sexy at the same time, she was aonly a strong personality. She was unique.

So I was more tha happy to get this 11 x 14 picture signed by both, Bettie and Bunny Yeager. It shows one of my favorite pictures of Bettie. I Paid $399 for it at a trustworthy autograph dealer and although this is pretty much money, I do not regret it.

Samantha Fox

I had the choice between various pictures to get signed by Samantha Fox. I've chosen this b/w one, because it's one of her typical pin-up motives.
