As a fan you want to be in contact with other fans. And 'cause I'm a fan of so many things, it is no wonder, I'm also member of more than one fanclub or fan related organization.

So here is a list of the clubs and organizations, I'm a member of. Perhaps you wanna join the one or the other, too?

 D.O.N.A.L.D.

The D.O.N.A.L.D. (which means "Deutsche Organisation der nichtkommerziellen Anhänger des lauteren Donaldismus" / "German Organization of noncommercial followers of sincere Donaldism") is an association of like-minded (so-called Donaldisten), which are interested in the Duck family, and the world in which they live. The D.O.N.A.L.D. was founded in Hamburg in 1977 and has about 850 members worldwide, mostly in german-speaking countries.

The members of the D.O.N.A.L.D. make scientific researches about the cosmos "Entenhausen" (german for Duckburgh). These researches are based on the reports of Carl Barks in the translation of Dr. Erika Fuchs.

I became a member of the D.O.N.A.L.D. in the year 2000, after the death of Carl Barks. By chance I saw an issue of the Donaldist, a special issue dedicated to Carl Barks. I bought it and became fascinated of the organization, so I decided to join it. It was the first fan organization I became a member of, therefore the D.O.N.A.L.D. will always be something special to me

Club der M.I.L.L.I.A.R.D.Ä.R.E.

In Schwarzenbach an der Saale, the idea of an Erika Fuchs Museum set up to honor their achievements for the German comic culture. For this reason, on 5 December 2007, the Dr. Erika Fuchs Foundation was founded. It will help to realize the Erika Fuchs Museum. The mission of the Foundation is particularly in financial assistance in the construction and operation of the museum in honor of Dr. Erika Fuchs but also in promoting the visual and performing arts in the field of comic art.

The Carl Barks Fan Club (often called the "CBFC") of Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA, connects fans to a global community of Carl Barks fans. The Carl Barks Fan Club is dedicated to preserving the Barks legacy of stories and artwork for future generations and to promoting the legacy to an ever-widening global audience of Carl Barks fans.

I joined the FedCon Geeks, when the club was still called the "Official Star Tek Fan Club. However, it seemed to be necessary to widen the focus of the club". I remained a club member and enjoy the benefits, such as parties with the stars at conventions and reduced admission prices.

The Madonna Fanclub Spotlight is the official Madonna Fanclub in Germany. And because Madonna is not just my favorite musician, but also a person I admire for her personality, I finally decided to join the club.

The Perry Rhodan Fanzentrale (PRFZ) was founded in 1995. It is an independant, registered society with approximtely 1,000 members and sees itself as an service organization for the readers, the fans and the fan clubs of the world's greatest science fiction series.

Established in 1977, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document, and take action when necessary to expose and confront illegal activities on the high seas. By safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced ocean ecosystems, Sea Shepherd works to ensure their survival for future generations.

I am not an active member of SSCS, however I am a supporter and spend some of my money to the organization.
