From May 29 to June 01, 2014 I was at the FedCon in Düsseldorf, again. And although being a proud owner of a Gold Ticket, like last year, I had to spent 650 Euros for additional autographs, 'cause some actors I wanted to have more than one autograph from (Alas, "unfortunately" I managed to pick only the ones, whose autographs were the most expensive ... ).
So, here they are, in alphabetical order:
Jay Acovone aka Joe Maxwell from "Beauty and the Beast"
Jay mainly was at FedCon because of his role as Major Charles Kowalski in "Stargate SG-1". However, I decided to create an autograph template for "Beauty and the Beast", in which he had a much greater role. Besides, "Beauty and the Beast" is one of my fav TV-shows, too. He was quite surprised and pleased about signing something different than a SG-1 picture.
Richard Dean Anderson aka Colonel Jack O'Neill from "Stargate SG-1"
Colonel Jack O'Neill / Richard Dean Anderson / Angus MacGyver
RDA was signing all four days in a separate room. Due to my schedule I bought tickets for Sunday. The autograph session started at 12pm and when I arrived, the
queue was already very long ...
At 1.30pm he was forced to leave for the Stargate photo-shoot and the fans still waiting got handed numbers with their position in the still very long queue. When I finally arrived, I was told
not to ask or a personal dedication, not to shake hands and not to make any small talk. However, RDA insisted on chatting a bit with everyone and when it was my turn, he really liked my pictures.
Naturally I told him how pleased I was and when he realized, that I made them myself, he jokingly offered me a job - but when I asked him how much he would pay and the answer was "not much" I
declined ;)
Bai Ling aka The Mysterious Woman in "Sky Captan and the World of Tomorrow"
Bai Ling is the first person who ever called me "Sir". She was at the FedCon because of her role in "Star Wars" (which was sadly cut out) and therefore a bit surprised I gave her a "Sky Captain" picture to sign. We talked a bit about the movie, my picture and before she signed it, she made a photo of it (so I guess she really liked it).
Suanne Braun aka Hathor from "Stargate SG-1"
She also liked die template I made and when I replied, that I would never dare to disappoint the great goddess Hathor, she laughed.
I hope very much be able to get the signatures of Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan on this picture, too.
Holly Marie Combs aka Piper Halliwell from "Charmed"
Tony Curran aka Datak Tarr from "Defiance"
Tony is such a nice man. He talked to every fan, which came to get his autograph. And I mean real conversations, not just "hello" and "good bye".
And he also gave individual dedications:
When I came to him, he asked "How are you, man?" I replied: "Not as good as yesterday." and he asked me if I had drunk to much beer last night. I said "No" and he replied that he had. So I asked him, if he would regret it now and he said "Life's too short for regrets! You know what? I write that as your dedication!". After that we talked a little bit about Defiance's season two.
Roxann Dawson aka B'Elanna Torres from "Star Trek: Voyager"
I got her autograph on Sunday. On Saturday she and Garrett Wang have had the last panel and it has been very amusing and entertaining. I told her how much I enjoyed their panel and that she and Garrett had obviously a lot of fun on stage. She confirmed this and said she was glad that I had fun, too.
Nicole de Boer aka Ezri Dax from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
Shannen Doherty aka Prue Halliwell from "Charmed"
Aron Eisenberg aka Nog from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
Max Grodenchik aka Rom from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
He took great care, while signing and reminded everyone to let the signature dry. Sometimes he accelerated the drying process by keeping the autographs before a ventilator.
Natasha Henstridge aka Taylor Wethersby from "Eli Stone"
She seemed to be a little surprised by my "Eli Stone" picture, she was at FedCon mainly because of her role as Sil in the "Species" movies. However, she was pleased when I told her that "Eli Stone" is one of my fav Tv shows and we agreed that it ended much too soon.
Barry Jenner aka Admiral William Ross from "Star Trek; Deep Space Nine"
He liked my picture and remarked, that he’s always liked this special photo of Admiral Ross.
Diana Muldaur aka Ann Mulhall aka Miranda Jones from
"Star Trek - The Original Series"
Diana Miuldaur aka Dr. Katherine Pulaski from "Star Trek - The Next Generation"
She's still got sexy eyes ...
Nichelle Nichols aka Nyota Penda Uhura from "Star Trek - The Original Series"
The Grande Dame of Star Trek. Oh, what a wonderful person. She took time for every single one of her fans. She wrote autographs on Saturday and on Sunday in a separated room. I got my autograph on Sunday, shortly after the start of her session at 10am. She chatted with every fan and when she noticed I made the picture myself she took a longer look at it and said it was beautiful.
She wrote autographs for over 5 hours that day, she even cancelled her panel so that everyone got his autograph.
I managed to get three of four signatures at this FedCon - and will get the one from Christopher Judge at the Trek-Gate in August :)
Michael Shanks aka Dr. Daniel Jackson from "Stargate SG-1"
Michael Shanks aka Dr. Charlie Harris from "Saving Hope"
Michael Shanks: "'Saving Hope' at least. ... Awesome!"
Alexander Siddig aka Dr. Julian Bashir from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
Alexander Siddig aka Philipp Burton from "Primeval"
Alexander Siddig aka King Minos from "Atlantis"
Amanda Tapping aka Colonel Samantha Carter from "Stargate Atlantis"
Amanda Tapping aka Major Samantha Carter from "Stargate SG-1"
Amanda Tapping: Collage with photos taken at the Trek Gate To Your Star 2013
I couldn't believe it, when she remembered me from the Trek Gate. I mean, that was about 8 months ago and I'm sure she meets a lot of people ...
Nana Visitor aka Major Kira Nerys from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"
Garrett Wang: Collage with photos taken at the FedCon 22
When Garrett looked at the autograph template, he pointed at the picture in the middle and burst out: "Das ist lustig!" ("That's funny!"). He then asked me, if I still have this picture and if I could mail it to him.
Julie Newmar aka "The Catwoman" from the 1960s Batman show
The one and only Catwoman!
I ordered the autograph in Julie's online shop on June 30th and it arrived on July 10th.
